Do you want to help develop the Swedish Research Council's communication work?
The unit for strategic communication support is looking for an engaged and driven communicator. This is the job for you if you are passionate about creating really good communication and want to contribute to a wiser world.
Role Description and Responsibilities
You will be part of a group in the communications department that supports and plans communication based on the needs of the organization. You will provide communication advice, offer both operational and strategic support, and drive the work forward. Your focus will be on the internal communication perspective, ensuring that our employees are well-informed about what is happening in the organization. Employees should be aware of the agency's goals and strategies and contribute to achieving them. You will work closely with management, supervisors, and colleagues to develop and implement communication initiatives that strengthen our shared culture.
Your responsibilities include:
- analyzing communication needs
- developing and implementing communication strategies and plans
- planning, executing, and evaluating various communication initiatives
- creating and adapting content for different channels.
The position is located in the communications department and the unit for strategic communication support. The unit drives communication work in the agency's subject areas, which means we support various parts of the organization with communication initiatives, press issues, visual identity, branding issues, and coordinate and project manage seminars and conferences.
Who are you?

You are good at building relationships, attentive, and have a high ability to interact with both internal and external contacts. You find it easy to collaborate and enjoy working both independently and in a team. You are structured and quality-conscious and can easily adapt to different situations and conditions. You are driven, curious, and opportunity-oriented while also being analytical and organized.
You easily handle the communicator's tools, are interested in social issues and research, and are driven to contribute to a wiser world.
You should have:
- a university degree in media and communication science or equivalent education and experience that the employer deems equivalent
- several years of experience working with strategic communication and communication advice
- experience adapting content to target groups and channels
- experience working with moving communication
- good ability to express yourself in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing.
It is an advantage if you have experience working with internal communication.
Location
Our office is activity-based and located at Hantverkargatan 11 in central Stockholm. If the tasks allow, there is an opportunity to work remotely part-time.
Employment Type and Start Date
The position is a temporary contract for just over 12 months starting in August 2025.
