We are looking for an experienced and proactive consultant for an assignment with our client – a larger organization with high demands for preparedness and operational capability. The assignment aims to develop and implement a comprehensive continuity plan and effective methods for recovery during crises and operational disruptions.

About the assignment

As a consultant, you will be responsible for leading and driving the work to strengthen the client's crisis and continuity management. You will work closely with designated internal resources and ensure that the organization has the right structures, processes, and training to prevent and manage interruptions – with a particular focus on IT infrastructure and mission-critical functions.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting risk and vulnerability analyses and assessing business impact
  • Identifying critical business processes, dependencies, and vulnerabilities
  • Developing and documenting continuity and recovery plans
  • Designing and implementing disaster recovery strategies for IT systems
  • Planning and leading exercises to test and ensure preparedness
  • Developing training materials and increasing internal awareness of roles and responsibilities during crises

Placement and work form:

The assignment can be partially conducted remotely. However, the consultant must have the ability to be physically present at the client's headquarters in Sundbyberg or other locations in Sweden when needed, for example, during exercises or introductions. A work computer and digital tools will be provided by the client.

Language skills:

  • Excellent Swedish in spoken and written form (requirement)

Mandatory requirements (MUST):

  • At least 5 years of experience in crisis and continuity planning in larger organizations
  • At least 5 years of experience in risk management
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and implementing disaster recovery plans for IT infrastructure

Personal qualities (MUST):

  • Ability to work both strategically and operationally
  • Very good collaboration and decision-making skills
  • Very good ability to communicate and document in Swedish
  • Strong understanding of business needs and ability to create engagement
  • Structured and self-driven

Desirable (SHOULD):

  • Experience from the public sector
  • Certification in Business Continuity (e.g., ISO 22301, CBCP) and/or Disaster Recovery (e.g., DRII, BCI)
