Ramneröd School 7-9

Ramneröd School 7-9 is a centrally located secondary school in Uddevalla with a multicultural student composition. The school has been completely renovated and rebuilt and has undergone a facelift in many different ways. We are in an exciting process with both reconstruction and a clearer student-centered approach that characterizes the work. For the fall, we will receive a partially new student body with students from Lane-Ryr mixed with our previous students from Norrskolan and Hovhult. This gives us a school that reflects society and provides children and young people with the opportunity to meet and learn from each other.

About us

We are organized in tight grade teams around the students with a co-teaching system in core subjects and close knowledge follow-ups with a flexible support system based on the students' needs. Each team has a special education teacher responsible for ensuring that the focus remains on accessible learning environments and the right support for each student. To create safety in the school, we work with IBIS, which stands for Inclusive Behavioral Support in Schools. We believe that we need to work together around and with the students and that clarity and relationships help students grow and take responsibility. Through positive reinforcement, we help students take greater responsibility and become their best selves.

We also believe that students learn best when the subject matter feels relevant and authentic and that experiences and connections to the society outside of school help students feel meaning and motivation. Therefore, we focus on experience-based/authentic learning as a development area.

Job Responsibilities

The school has a high teacher qualification rate and a strong sense that we work together for the students' goal fulfillment. The student is at the center of everything we do, and we are driven by a strong belief that our students do right if they can and that we work together to create the best possible conditions for them to succeed.

In the music subject, we have good conditions through the possibility of half classes in all grades. We also have a completely newly renovated music room with three associated group rooms, and in the adjacent library, there is a stage for potential performances. Through close collaboration with the culture school, we create opportunities for our students to create both in and outside of school.

Who are we looking for?

Our music teacher has decided to try new things in life, and therefore we need someone who can continue to develop music education at our fine school. We are looking for you who want the chance to start new traditions with us and develop the ones we already have.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified music teacher with experience teaching at the secondary level. Experience teaching in multilingual student groups and knowledge of low-arousal responses are advantageous. We place great importance on personal suitability.

For positions where teaching certification/exam certificates/study certificates are required, these must be submitted before employment.
