Job Description

As a PTP psychologist within habilitation, you will have a varied job that includes both teamwork and profession-specific tasks. Based on the habilitation's mission, both individual habilitation interventions and various group activities are offered. As a PTP psychologist, you primarily work with assessment and investigation but also with treatment interventions aimed at both the patient and their parents/network. In the assessment work, primary questions concern intellectual disabilities and neuropsychiatric issues. Treatment work often includes psychoeducation and interventions based on behavioral difficulties. The goal of the work is to develop abilities, promote participation and quality of life, and prevent ill health. The work also includes providing information, education, and consultation regarding disabilities and contributing the psychological perspective at multiprofessional treatment conferences. The work takes place in multiprofessional teams and often in close collaboration with other services.

About PTP in Region Östergötland

Region Östergötland offers a cohesive and quality-assured PTP program that provides you as a new psychologist with a secure and developing start in your professional life. Our program includes seminars, lectures, and collegial meetings where you have the opportunity to broaden your competence, deepen your professional role, and create a network with other PTP psychologists in the region.

We have an appointed PTP study director who serves as support for you, your supervisor, and your manager throughout the year. All PTP psychologists have a supervisor with at least three years of professional experience, and individual supervision takes place regularly, at least one hour per week, in accordance with our quality criteria and the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations.

We are proud of our PTP program – it is an important part of our long-term competence supply and an expression of our commitment to the development of the psychology profession.

About You

We are looking for someone who has a recognized psychology degree upon appointment and good knowledge of Swedish, corresponding to C1 level.
