Description

The Learning Sector in Ljusdal Municipality operates within preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, high school, and youth centers.

In our operations, the learning and health of children and students are the focus, and all children and students should be given the opportunity to develop based on their conditions.

We invest to strengthen our students' choice competence for further studies and career choices. An investment that in the long term contributes to the competence supply for Ljusdal Municipality. Therefore, we are looking for a coordinator for school and working life for a full-time project employment until 2026-12-31. Are you skilled in school and working life issues for young people, knowledgeable in information and communication, as well as project management - then you are welcome to work with us in the Learning Sector in Ljusdal.

Responsibilities

As a coordinator for school and working life, you contribute to developing a modern work orientation for primary school and drive a systematic effort to strengthen students' choice competence for further studies and career choices. Your assignment largely involves establishing conditions in the organization and in the operations for a conscious development effort: to allow school students to meet professionals, companies, and industries at an early age to broaden their knowledge of educational pathways to various professions.

You will participate in various working groups and be responsible for target group analysis, developing plans, and being the operationally creative person who comes up with proposals for initiatives and activities and prepares materials for them, or carries out the initiative itself. You will thus work both independently and on behalf of others. You will also function as a coordinator for teacher students who are going out on their internship (VFU).

The work involves contacts with school leaders and school staff (especially study and career counselors and teachers), the admissions unit for high school admissions, and external actors such as universities, folk high schools, adult education, employment agencies, companies, and more.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic degree, for example in pedagogy, social sciences, human resources, or study and career guidance. You have knowledge of the school system and the labor market, meaning an understanding of the school's mission regarding study and career guidance and how the labor market operates at local, regional, and national levels. We would like you to have experience in project management within education, work orientation, or collaboration between school and business.

It is an advantage if you have experience working in a municipal operation, specifically within education, experience in developing digital platforms or working with digital tools for work orientation, experience working with inclusion and equity in education and working life, or experience in applying for and managing external project funds (e.g., from the National Agency for Education, the Swedish Agency for Economic and Regional Growth, or ESF projects).

The assignment as a coordinator for school and working life is not linear and predictable, but the assignment shifts in intensity and content throughout the year. The assignment is also subject to change based on new decisions and assignments from the government and the municipality. Flexibility is therefore a key factor.

Your ability to collaborate and cooperate, both internally and externally, is good. You are pedagogical, clear, and transparent in your communication. You are used to collaborating and networking, and you create successful relationships with those you meet in your work.

You are accustomed to working in various digital systems and are willing to familiarize yourself with new tools. You have good oral and written communication skills in the Swedish language.

To thrive in the assignment, you need to have the ability to see opportunities and solve problems that arise in a way that moves the work forward. We offer you a varied and meaningful job with the opportunity to make a difference, both today and in the long term!

Welcome with your application!
