The departments Project Engineers North & South consist of about 50 engaged Engineers in Electrical Design, Automation, and Mechanical Design. Geographically, we are located in several locations throughout Sweden, working together as a tight-knit team remotely. We are responsible for the development of designs for control systems for substations and hydropower stations. Travel may occur in the position to visit the stations. Our department is part of the Technical business area, where over 170 engineers work across Sweden, which provides good opportunities for collaboration and development for our Engineers.

What does a Construction Manager for large projects do with us?

The position involves leading our electrical designers who develop electrical designs for large station projects, such as transformer stations and hydropower stations. This includes the design of control systems, local power, and relay protection, etc. The work concerns large station projects at 130 kV or 400 kV. You have one or more designers in your project team whom you lead, discuss technical solutions with, and review their work. You lead several projects in parallel. Within the framework of the projects, you report to the project manager. You have the technical responsibility, and the project manager has the commercial responsibility.

Our customers include energy and network companies, industries, infrastructure companies, real estate companies, and contracting companies.

Examples of tasks/responsibilities that will be included in the role:

• Lead work regarding the establishment of complete electrical designs
• Ensure technical functionality and contract compliance
• Review suppliers' technical solutions
• Review suppliers' deliveries such as GIS substations, transformers, etc.
• Review colleagues' designs
• Be a mentor to junior employees in Elmaster/Elprocad
• Be a super user in Elmaster/Elprocad

Requirements Specification

We are looking for someone who is analytical and enjoys solving complex problems; for you, nothing is impossible! You are very well versed in the field and would like to share your knowledge with your colleagues. Taking on a task and completing it together with the design team is a given for you. Since the work involves complex issues, we also want you to be structured in your approach.

We know that you will develop together with us. However, we would like you to already have:

• A post-secondary education in electrical power or equivalent work experience in electrical power.
• Many years of experience in the design of control systems for substations or hydropower stations
• Experience in configuring relay protection
• You have good knowledge of Elprocad and/or Elmaster
• Good IT and computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A B driver's license is required

It is meritorious if you have:

• Leadership experience
• Experience as a mentor to junior electrical designers
