About the role

We at AP&T are looking for an experienced and driven mechanical assembler with knowledge of hydraulics to strengthen our team in Tranemo. Do you have experience in workshop work, mechanical assembly, hydraulics, and machine construction? Are you used to working independently and have a responsive and developed ability to collaborate with customers and colleagues? Then this could be the position for you!

As a mechanical assembler, you will work with mechanical and hydraulic assembly in connection with machine construction. The tasks mainly involve assembly according to drawings and troubleshooting. Development in projects is common, which requires the ability to work closely with the design department and commissioning. You will also participate in installations on-site at the customer, where you need to be able to work independently and collaborate at a high level with other professionals & nationalities since work at the customer occurs internationally. This means that you as an applicant need to be able to travel for work for 2-4 weeks several times a year.

Your profile

As a person, we are looking for someone who is self-driven, solution-oriented, and meticulous in your work. You have a technical interest and an eye for detail, while also enjoying taking responsibility and driving the work forward on your own. You are responsive and communicative, which makes it easy for you to collaborate with both colleagues and customers, whether it is in the workshop in Tranemo or out on international assignments.

Working in project form and handling varying tasks is seen as a stimulating challenge, and you have no problem adapting when conditions change. You have a professional approach, are eager to learn, and are happy to share your knowledge to contribute to the team's development.

Your main tasks

  • Mechanical assembly of machine components and hydraulics according to drawings, including: Hydraulic block assembly, Hydraulic valve assembly, Pipe assembly, Pump assembly, Pipe bending, Mechanical assembly
  • Troubleshooting and actions on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Work with machine construction, installation, and maintenance of our projects.
  • Independent work during installations at customer sites.
  • Collaboration with colleagues, customers, and other stakeholders both at home and during installations.
  • Work at heights.
  • Perform heavy lifts using forklifts and overhead cranes.

Requirements

  • At least high school education, preferably in engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly and hydraulics within machine construction.
  • Good knowledge of reading technical drawings, mechanical/hydraulic assembly, workshop work.
  • Experience working independently and planning your work.
  • Driver's license B.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish and English.
  • Knowledge of Excel and computer skills.
  • High safety awareness.

Meritorious

  • Previous experience of travel in the job.
  • Forklift, lift, and overhead crane licenses.
  • Welding skills
  • Training in fall protection and hot work.
  • Additional language skills.
  • Experience in electrical assembly.
  • Familiar with working according to Lean principles.

Information about the employment

  • Salary - Monthly salary. By agreement.
  • Employment conditions - Full-time 100%, mainly daytime. Shifts may occur.
  • Start date - By agreement.
