ABOUT THE POSITION

You will undergo an introduction where the entire Sweco is presented, as well as an introduction related to your tasks. As a signaling designer in railway traffic control, you will primarily work with project design. In your role, you will mainly work in-house, but depending on your interests and ambitions, you may work on-site at facilities or with clients. At Sweco, with the support of mentors and senior colleagues, you will initially be part of various project organizations. Your team of signaling designers works from Umeå in the south to Gällivare in the north, and we would like you to be based in one of the offices in Umeå, Skellefteå, or Luleå.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

You will be part of a team of 17 people where high demands are placed on good collaboration skills. In the role of designer, you will work on projects where some examples of tasks may include:

  • Design: Create technical drawings and specifications for railway infrastructure within signaling
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and clients to ensure that projects are carried out efficiently and according to plan with high quality
  • Review and follow-up: Review technical solutions and follow up on construction site work to ensure they meet all requirements and standards

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Has a university degree in electrical/technical field or has completed at least a 2-year railway education
  • Has a strong technical interest and the willingness to learn more
  • Can communicate in Swedish and English both verbally and in writing as these languages are used in daily work

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Category B driver's license
  • Experience working with signaling and design in the railway sector or equivalent experience such as previous experience in electrical or electrical engineering
  • Experience or knowledge in CAD
