GKN Aerospace in Hallstahammar is now looking for operators for their casting process for superalloys. The casting of gas turbine components in nickel and cobalt-based alloys takes place under high vacuum at their facility in Hallstahammar.

Your Responsibilities

Responsibilities for the operator in vacuum casting include melting, loading and unloading of molds, loading of materials, monitoring and maintenance of the casting crucible, material clearance, and documentation of process parameters.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in machines, technology, and mechanics, who enjoys working with problem-solving and improvements. You easily take in new instructions and have a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing in Swedish. You are flexible and comfortable adapting to the needs of the business and performing various tasks. Since the work can sometimes be physically demanding, we prefer candidates with good physical fitness. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience from the manufacturing industry and a forklift license.

You work in a structured and meticulous manner, have an easy time making your own decisions, and take initiative where needed. We also value your ability to work in a team and your willingness to help where needed. We prefer candidates who are flexible regarding working hours, as daytime and 2-shift work is common.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where GKN's customer has requirements for security classification, this may entail requirements for certain citizenship.
