Do you want to help create safe and secure school environments in Kungälv Municipality? We are now looking for an engaged Safety Coordinator for our security unit – a key role in our joint efforts to strengthen safety and prevent crime in educational activities.

Here you will combine strategic thinking with practical action in close collaboration with both colleagues and external actors.

About us at the security unit

The security unit in Kungälv Municipality consists of a close-knit team with broad expertise: crime prevention coordinators, preparedness coordinators, safety coordinators, information security coordinators, lawyers, and a security manager. We work together to promote safety and security throughout the municipality.

Job Responsibilities

As a Safety Coordinator, you will be a driving force in the work to strengthen safety in the municipality's schools. You will belong to the security unit but work closely with operational managers, principals, and other staff within the Education and Learning sector.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supporting principals in the work with preparedness plans related to threats and violence.
• Coordinating and leading safety-enhancing projects and initiatives within schools.
• Conducting training and exercises in areas such as threats and violence, school attacks, and lockdowns.
• Supporting schools with needs and impact analyses related to potential video surveillance.
• Being a support for principals in their safety-enhancing work.
• Coordinating work around acute incidents within schools.
• Collaborating with other municipal crime prevention activities and initiatives. Collaborating with primary schools, high schools, preschools, as well as other municipal activities and external actors, such as the police.

You will combine supportive roles with leading responsibilities for activities and projects that make a real difference.

Work outside of office hours may occur.

We work closely together within the unit, and we have a good understanding of each other's tasks and the unit's collective responsibilities and assignments. You and your colleagues may need to support each other within each other's areas of responsibility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with a relevant post-secondary education, for example in security and preparedness, crime prevention work, or equivalent experience. You have experience working with security and/or preparedness, preferably in the public sector.

Experience related to educational activities is an advantage.

We expect you to have excellent knowledge of Swedish and English, both written and spoken, as well as good digital competence and familiarity with Office programs.

A driver's license (at least class B) is required.
