On behalf of our client, we are currently looking for a consultant in occupational health and safety for a government agency. The assignment has a scope of 90% and is expected to start on 2025-06-01 and continue until 2027-06-01.
About the assignment As an occupational health and safety specialist, you will work with occupational health and safety issues as well as related matters such as quality, environment, and electrical safety. You will be involved in projects related to the construction of substations, overhead lines, and underground cables within the electricity transmission system. The role involves supporting the project organization in systematic occupational health and safety work and managing follow-up to ensure compliance with legislation and requirements. You will act as expert support in occupational health and safety matters in all phases of the project. The work is carried out in collaboration with other specialists, contractors, and project managers. Some of the work can be done remotely, but you should be able to be on-site at least 50% of the time.
Examples of tasks - Support project managers in ongoing occupational health and safety work - Follow up, review, and monitor occupational health and safety work mainly during the execution phase through workplace inspections, according to checklists and the project's/client's control program. Follow-up of corresponding tasks may also occur in the design phase - Participate in safety and environmental rounds and ensure that deviations are addressed - Attend meetings and internal planning and project meetings as needed - Monitor incidents and their management, including follow-up - Document unmanaged incidents and deviations (Request for deviation report to the contractor). - Report on occupational health and safety work and follow-up of the contractor during workplace inspections to the project manager and HMSK coordinator. - Participate as an investigation leader or provide support in accident investigations if needed.
Other: Start: 2025-06-01 End: 2027-06-01 Scope: 90% Location: Fieldwork within Stockholm County and partially in Uppsala and Västmanland Counties as well as at project offices in Stockholm County. Travel during the assignment may occur. Background check: Security clearance is part of the process. Employment type: Employed by Devotum as the client does not approve subcontractors in this process.
About you We are looking for someone who meets the following mandatory requirements: - Educated occupational health and safety engineer or possess equivalent documented competence in occupational health and safety or HMSK area with at least 5 years - Completed training in Bas-P and Bas-U. Certificate required. The training must be a maximum of 3 years old - Completed ESA training. Certificate required. - At least 5 years of work experience in systematic occupational health and safety work with occupational health and safety issues, occupational health and safety legislation, risk management, planning, and follow-up - At least 5 years of experience in applying occupational health and safety legislation, norms, practices, and standards within occupational health and safety - At least 5 years of experience in having coordination responsibility according to occupational health and safety legislation, including responsibility as a client or contractor, with associated occupational health and safety responsibility - At least 5 years of experience working with occupational health and safety issues in construction and civil engineering projects in infrastructure projects - At least 5 years of experience in risk management and deviations - Experience in contract law
It is advantageous if you also meet the following requirements: - Experience in occupational health and safety work in projects with higher voltage levels (220kV/400kV) - Experience in corresponding tasks from infrastructure projects in urban environments
Desired personal qualities: - Proactive and solution-oriented - Good communicator and accustomed to representing the client's side - Independent and goal-oriented - Fluent in Swedish and has good knowledge of English
