The Department of Water and Sewage (VA) works within innovation, development, renewal, and operation of all our facilities such as water sources, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, and infrastructure/pipes.

Your Responsibilities
As an operations technician in water supply, you will have a varied and responsible job where you contribute to ensuring a safe and sustainable water supply. Your tasks include operation, supervision, and maintenance of water treatment plants, water sources, distribution facilities, and pressure boosting. You will perform sampling to ensure water quality and optimize operations, as well as actively work with troubleshooting, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance.
The role also includes monitoring and follow-up of the facilities' functions, as well as administrative work related to the development of the operations. You will also have the opportunity to participate in various development projects aimed at improving both technology and working methods. On-call duty may occur as part of the position.

As an operations technician in the water unit, you will be an important part of the team responsible for the operation, supervision, and maintenance of VA facilities throughout Gotland.
Who Are You?
You have a post-secondary education in operations technology or equivalent experience. A B driver's license is required for the position.
You have experience working in VA, industry, or process, where you have gained broad practical knowledge of technology, repair, and maintenance. You also have good knowledge of control and regulation technology, and you handle computers effortlessly, especially the Office suite.
You are a person who is both independent and collaborative, with an analytical and meticulous approach. You adapt easily to changes and see opportunities rather than obstacles. Your social skills, solution focus, and initiative make you willing to take responsibility and drive the work forward. You are unpretentious, always customer-focused, and communicate in a clear and trustworthy manner.
We are looking for someone who is technically inclined, a problem solver, and wants to contribute to securing access to our most important food – drinking water!

As part of Region Gotland, the technology administration manages and develops infrastructure with high operational reliability and a focus on a sustainable society. We also offer supply services for Region Gotland's operations. Together, we work with citizens, businesses, and the region's operations at the center.
