In a multicultural urban environment, Angered Hospital provides specialized healthcare within the fields of surgery and orthopedics (including general surgery and gynecology as well as orthopedics). There is a state-of-the-art, fully staffed operating department with four operating rooms adjacent to the clinics.

About Us

The orthopedic clinic at Angered Hospital is a well-functioning elective unit with a dedicated team of orthopedic surgeons, nurses, nursing assistants, and medical secretaries. Currently, we have two orthopedic surgeons focusing on knee, Achilles tendon, and ankle issues as well as foot and hand surgery. We do not perform joint replacement surgeries.

We collaborate closely with physiotherapists both within the hospital and in the region to ensure an effective and high-quality care chain for our patients.

About the Position

We are now expanding our operations and looking for an orthopedic surgeon who wants to be part of our team.

• Working hours: Monday – Friday 7:30 AM – 4:15 PM
• No on-call duties
• Free weekends and public holidays
• Opportunity to influence the direction within orthopedics (preferably with a focus on foot and hand)
• Possibility of a combined position with Kungälv Hospital

As an orthopedic surgeon at our clinic, you will be involved in the planning and development of the operations and have significant responsibility for the patient groups you meet. You will work closely with our nurses, nursing assistants, and physiotherapists and have excellent opportunities to contribute to improvement work within the organization.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a specialist or senior physician in orthopedics who has a strong desire to contribute to the development of the operations.

Your Qualities:

• Structured, goal-oriented, and creative
• Have been a specialist physician for at least a few years and feel independent in your work and are used to taking your own initiatives
• Quality-conscious and have a strong commitment to patient care
• Have a humble attitude and strong collaboration skills
• Interested in operational development and improvement processes
• Possess good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Have good social skills and a strong team spirit
