The City Property Management creates environments where life can thrive by planning, building, renting, managing, and developing premises and outdoor environments for the City of Gothenburg's operations. Every day, hundreds of thousands of Gothenburg residents are active in preschools, schools, care homes, and other premises that we manage.

Together with the City Environment Administration, the Exploitation Administration, and the City Planning Administration, we have a coordinated responsibility for urban development in the City of Gothenburg. This means a shared distribution of responsibilities and roles based on phases: planning; implementation; and management with the goal of contributing to a cohesive, efficient, and transparent urban development for residents, visitors, and businesses in the city.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations and Maintenance Department is responsible for supervision, repair, and operation of the outdoor environment, buildings, and installations over time with good technical status and satisfied customers. This is achieved through close cooperation with customers, the department's other divisions, and other organizations in the city. The department is responsible for carrying out inspections required by authorities and contributes to the development of energy-saving measures. We perform the assignments requested by our customers.

The construction area’s assignments consist of supervision, maintenance, repairs, customer assignments, and minor maintenance measures in the City of Gothenburg's schools, preschools, elderly homes, and other properties. The unit's assignments include being responsible for preventive work and handling of fault reports as well as performing minor adaptations/customer assignments on buildings in the geographical area.

Your tasks:

As a property technician, you will contribute to maintaining and repairing our properties. The assignment involves conducting operational rounds and working with preventive measures as well as performing repairs after fault reports. This may involve changing faucets, repairing doors, locks, or appliances. It may also involve handling minor customer assignments and maintenance measures. To manage your work orders and similar tasks, you will use our administrative support systems on the computer or mobile.

We are now looking for six colleagues for our construction area. You will be based at one of our service offices (Angeredsvinkeln, Gullbergsvass, or J A Wettergren). Five of these positions are permanent employment at one of our three service offices. One of these positions is a six-month temporary position.

QUALIFICATIONS

The most important qualities for this position are a strong interest in properties and technology, a willingness to work together with others, and showing care for our customers. You enjoy repairing and maintaining everything that can be found in our premises. For this, you need to be a natural problem solver.

We want you to have a high school education in construction and civil engineering or equivalent education that we consider comparable. You also need previous experience in the field. As an employee, you work for the organization's and the Gothenburg residents' best interests from a holistic perspective. It is important that you are attentive and clear with colleagues and customers. You work with freedom under responsibility and are a colleague that others appreciate.

A B driver's license and computer skills are required for this position, as the job includes some administration.
