Jönköping District Court is looking for a service-oriented security guard

Jönköping District Court is a general court that handles criminal cases, civil cases, matters, and bankruptcies. We currently have about 65 employees in two judicial departments and one administrative department. The operations are conducted in modern premises next to Lake Munksjön in central Jönköping, near the transport center.

Job Responsibilities

As a security guard with us, your main task is to staff both the security control and reception as well as common areas. You will be part of a team where you, together with other security guards, provide service to employees, as well as parties in cases, lawyers, prosecutors, the public, and others. As a security guard, you are the first person that visitors to the court meet. You understand that a good reception is important for creating a safe and secure environment.

The security guards have the entire court building as their work area, which includes Jönköping District Court, the Administrative Court in Jönköping, and the Rent and Lease Board in Jönköping. As a security guard with us, you will rotate and work with varying tasks within security and service.

The tasks are varied and independent, and you perform them under your own responsibility together with your colleagues. The tasks also include, together with our other security guards, being responsible for expedition guard duties, the technology in the courtrooms, technical support for employees, alarm and security systems, local supervision, and ordering public documents.

Working hours: Monday to Friday daytime. Some overtime work is also included as court hearings may sometimes continue after regular working hours. Scheduled weekend on-call duty is also included.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• has completed upper secondary education
• has a valid security guard license; otherwise, you must be willing, prepared, and able to undergo security guard training funded by the employer during the probationary period. A valid security guard license is a requirement for permanent employment.
• has a few years of work experience, preferably with service both internally and externally, such as in reception or maintenance
• has normal color vision as the work with X-ray equipment requires it.

You need to enjoy working in a team and have very good collaboration and communication skills. Since the work involves many contacts both internally and externally, it is important that you have a good reception and are strongly service-oriented. Furthermore, you are proactive and practical, and can independently organize and prioritize your work. Since the daily work is event-driven, you need to be flexible and have a good ability to prioritize your work based on changing conditions. As a person, you are mature and take responsibility for your work in the group.

As a large part of the tasks involve administration, service, and IT, you must find such tasks enjoyable for the position to be perceived as interesting and meaningful over time. You have a very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written, and you are proficient in English.
