Your Role

Mälarenergi Elnät AB has an ambitious investment budget for the coming years, with challenges in introducing new technology and executing numerous projects with a wide range of complexity and scope. The energy transition and expansion of the grid impose entirely new demands for change and new solutions in the network, where you will play an important role together with others in the department.

As a project engineer, you will closely collaborate with project managers, network planners, designers, and assignment leaders, among others, to ensure that the design work is carried out so that investment projects achieve their goals. You will be responsible for the technical solution in the project, which includes network calculations, dimensioning of components, specifying materials for suppliers, and updating our network information system. You will also handle regulatory approvals and have direct customer contact. As a project engineer, you will manage anywhere from a few to several projects simultaneously, depending on the size of the project. Furthermore, you will lead and participate in business development that spans multiple departments/disciplines and engage in initiatives with universities.

We Are Looking For You

We are looking for someone who is a university/civil engineer with a focus on electrical power, or if you have extensive experience working as a project engineer in a similar industry.

You are an engaged team player who builds trust both internally and externally, and you are skilled at communicating clearly. At the same time, you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves where needed and deliver results. Additionally, you are flexible with a positive attitude and see opportunities instead of problems. Finally, you need to be self-driven, meticulous, and able to work systematically. We place great importance on your personal qualities.

A valid driver’s license (B) and good knowledge of Swedish are also required.

The unit currently consists of 18 project engineers who work together to tackle our challenges while independently managing the design work for our own projects. As the head of the unit, I strive to help all employees develop in their roles, thereby also advancing the business.
