ValueOne is looking for a Trade and Compliance Officer with experience from customs administration and transport management to a manufacturing company. You will be based in Västerås or Ludvika. Initially, you will be employed by ValueOne with the intention that the role will transition to permanent employment with our client.

As Trade and Compliance Officer you will be responsible for day-to-day customs work. You will be managing customs declaration and communicate and escalate customs issues that deviate from established procedures.
Main tasks:
- Manage customs administration.
- Contribute to external and internal networks regarding customs issues.
- Participate in major external meetings concerning customs.
- Keep up to date regarding changes in regulations and keeping stakeholders within the organization informed about these.
- Ensure that established procedures regarding origin, classification of products, customs value, checking of customs declarations are implemented and complied with.
- Communicate and escalate customs issues that deviate from procedures and that may involve a risk to the company.
- Prepare for and participate in any reviews and audits by the customs authority.
To succeed in this role, you must have previous experience of a similar role. We expect you to have a couple of years’ experience from working with transport management, customs administration and freight forwarding. An academic degree in a relevant field is desirable and you should be comfortable in expressing yourself, written and spoken, in English. You are an analytical person, who is thorough, and service minded.
