At the Orthopedic Technology Department within Region Norrbotten, we manufacture and customize orthopedic aids such as prostheses, orthoses, corsets, orthopedic shoes, shoe adaptations, and insoles.

We collaborate with several units and clinics in our daily work. Among other things, we participate in joint receptions, e.g., prosthetic reception, foot rounds, and habilitation receptions for children and adolescents with disabilities together with orthopedic specialists and other habilitation staff.

Our team consists of orthopedic engineers, orthopedic technicians, orthopedic sewing technicians, orthopedic shoe technicians, and administrators.
We are a regional clinic located at Sunderby Hospital and Gällivare Hospital. This position is based at Sunderby Hospital.

We are looking for

We are looking for a licensed orthopedic engineer who has good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of the Cosmic journal system and previous experience working in pediatric habilitation and/or prosthetics.
We place great importance on personal qualities. As a person, you are secure and stable, flexible, service-oriented, and have good collaboration skills.

As an orthopedic engineer with us, you will receive referrals from e.g., doctors, physiotherapists where an orthopedic aid is requested to be tested, adapted, constructed, and manufactured.
Your goal is to restore the patient's independence as much as possible after functional variations such as paralysis, amputation, or deformity.

Information about the position

We offer a full-time temporary position from 2025-06-01 to 2025-11-30, with the possibility of extension. Working hours are during the day.
Selection and interviews are ongoing, and the position may be filled before the application deadline.

Region Norrbotten applies individual salary setting according to collective agreements.
