About the role

As a physiotherapist, you will be part of a team alongside occupational therapists, nurses, and care staff. Together, you are tasked with providing quality of life. You see each individual and have the ability to understand what each person needs.

In the role of physiotherapist, you will work with the residents to find the best ways to utilize their own abilities in daily life. You support and motivate individuals to develop and maintain their mobility.

This often involves assessing/treating the residents' mobility issues and disabilities. It also means you will select and prescribe medical aids. You also work preventively by training other staff in transfer techniques to avoid strain injuries.

Thanks to you, those who live with us can maintain their lifestyle and habits. At the same time, you develop valuable knowledge about care, service, and aging.

About Villa Vikhem Villa Vikhem is a residence located in the Vikhem area of Staffanstorp. The unit has three floors with two departments per floor. 40 places focused on special housing and 20 places for short-term/relief care. At Villa Vikhem, we focus on training and animals. We have opportunities for training both indoors and outdoors. Residents in special housing can move in with their pets. We also collaborate with external actors and place great importance on ensuring that those who live with us experience a meaningful everyday life, which may include organized activities or time with their contact person.

  • Young Care: We have a collaboration with the company Young Care. This means that a team of young people aged 14–18 visits us on weekends and holidays. Young Care engages in various activities with us who work here to enhance the lives of the residents.
  • Animals in care: Here we work with animals in care, and we have regular visits from therapy animals.
  • VR technology: We have introduced VR technology in the residence, allowing residents to experience various journeys, adventures, or games through VR glasses. Read more about Vardaga's VR initiative here: Around the world in 40 minutes.

You are a licensed physiotherapist, and we prefer that you have worked for a few years in elderly care. Good computer skills and experience with documentation are important. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
