Electrical Technician Maintenance at Söderenergi

We are now looking for an experienced Electrical Technician for the maintenance department Electrical & Automation. In this role, you will work to maintain and improve the production availability of all the plant's facilities through preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical equipment, instrumentation, environmental measurement, and automation.

You will work on everything from simple service tasks to troubleshooting and advanced renovations. The assignments will come to you via a maintenance system through planners, and you are expected to take ownership and manage the tasks. The job includes being on-call during evenings, nights, and weekends. The on-call duty is arranged according to a rolling schedule (6-week interval) and means that you should be able to respond at short notice (about 60 minutes) to perform troubleshooting and emergency corrective maintenance. Since you will be working in a combined Electrical and Automation department, a background in automation, environmental measurement, and instrumentation is also advantageous.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities are to maintain and improve the plant's facility availability by:

• Working with preventive and corrective maintenance in the area of electrical equipment and supporting instrumentation technicians and automation engineers.
• Actively contributing to the department's pursuit of set goals, KPIs at the departmental level, and site-wide, and completing assigned weekly plans to the best of your ability and circumstances.
• Actively working towards quality and environmental improvement measures even outside the direct area of responsibility and across departments.
• Assisting in planning for spare parts management and preparation of work on the equipment we are responsible for maintaining.
• Reporting and time reporting independently and planning maintenance activities in consultation with our planners in the maintenance system.
• Actively maintaining a good collegial and safety culture within all commitments and in collaboration with the department, but also across departmental boundaries.
• Being part of the on-call group.

Your Profile

The prerequisites for succeeding in this position are that you are ambitious, responsible, have a high initiative, and are safety-conscious. You are self-driven and have no problem looking beyond your immediate tasks to identify issues that are not directly related to your responsibilities through your own ownership management. You are also a team player with a genuine interest in working with both people and technology in a large maintenance department with electricians, environmental measurement, automation engineers, and instrumentation technicians who together possess a high and broad competence. There are good opportunities to develop your skills in all these technical areas. You should have a secondary school diploma with an electrical engineering focus or equivalent. You need good knowledge of Swedish and English, as well as good IT skills and should not be averse to change. You should be able to read and understand drawings and other technical documentation. Experience from a similar position or equivalent in industrial maintenance is an advantage. A driving license (B) is required.
