ABOUT THE POSITION

Elon Group is one of the largest retailers in consumer electronics, appliances, and household products in the Nordic region, with stores in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland.

In the role of accountant, you will be responsible for the accounting for Elon’s stores in Norway. This is a new and central position where you will have the opportunity to establish and develop the accounting function for the Norwegian stores – a function that is currently handled externally. In the long run, there is also the possibility to build a team and gradually expand the accounting work to more Elon stores.

You will be part of Elon Financial Services (EFS) and be part of a close-knit, helpful team of 20 colleagues, most of whom are based at the headquarters in Örebro. Your placement is flexible, but it is an advantage if you can work from Örebro.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities

• Establish and develop the Norwegian accounting within the organization
• Ongoing bookkeeping
• Incoming and outgoing payments and reminders
• Management of accounts payable
• Reconciliations in accounting
• Monthly and annual financial statements
• Contact with owners, store staff, and auditors
• Reporting to Skatteetaten and other Norwegian authorities

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

• Has a post-secondary education with a focus on finance, or equivalent work experience
• Has several years of experience in Norwegian accounting and is familiar with both ongoing bookkeeping and annual financial statements
• Has good knowledge of Swedish or Norwegian, both spoken and written

It is an advantage if you are an authorized accountant (Norwegian accounting)
