Service Reliability Engineer (SRE)

At Eviture you will work as a consultant in interesting projects at a wide range of clients. We work with some of the most interesting and exciting clients in Sweden and beyond. We have been doing this for 25 years, mostly outside Sweden and are currently establishing ourselves in Sweden again - where we once started.

Some of what you will be doing

- Analyze customer needs and collaborate with developers, business partners, architects, and other groups to understand requirements and identify technical and functional needs of systems.
- Advocating a DevOps "you built it, you run it!" mindset including driving continuous improvement of the same for better quality, performance, functionality, cost effectiveness, etc.
- Participate in architecture and design discussions and contribute to relevant communities and bodies
- Working collaboratively in a distributed Agile team and contribute to the Agile team norms and coding standards, software design best practices, and architecture strategy.
- Coach and mentor more junior team members to craft the solution so it meets the requirements and design
- Continuously reflect upon how our clients are doing things and where they can improve

Vital skills we expect from you

General:

- English language proficiency

DevOps experience:

- At least 5 years of professional work experience from DevOps and Reliability Engineering best practices
- System Integration experience in Cloud solutions
- Experience in the implementation of modern Continuous Integration or Continuous Deployment pipelines
- Good software craftsmanship in more than one language
- Testing tools and methodologies (infrastructure/platform test, test automation, probes, chaos testing etc)
- Operations, either as operation engineer or in automating operation activities, such as monitoring or incident handling
- AWS and/or Azure skills
- Solutions for Deployment Pipelines
- Container technologies, application hosting, understanding of microservice architectures, Service Mesh
- Automation with Terraform, Ansible etc and Infrastructure as code in general
- Monitoring and logging tools

Software engineering and DevOps:

- Agile, Scrum, Kanban etc
- Clean Code
- Clean Architecture
- TDD and unit testing
- Git with GitHub, Azure DevOps or GitLab
- Extensive Linux experience

Knowledge

- Lean & Agile principles
- DRY programming
- SOLID design principles
- YAGNI principle
- INVEST criteria for backlog items
